Julian's Nursery

We got Julian's room painted today!! Yipeee!! Don't wory, we got the paint that doesn't have an odor and we kept the fan on and the window open. Jerry did most of the painting anyways. It was a very productive last "Hurricane Ike" vacation day. We still need a few things to put on the walls and I would like to have a glider chair in there also but I am not in a hurry to find something right now. Now that I have the pics of the room I can bring up all the baby shower gifts and junk up the room.
Back to work tomorrow. I had such a good 9 days off off from school. I got so much done and had so much fun getting to visit friends and family. So I am just going to be thankful. Even though I keep thinking that I really really am not looking forward to making all this time up at the end of the year. Oh well..

This refugee has a lot to be thankful for!

I have had a lot of things lately to thank my Creator for: (in no particular order)

I survived hurricane Ike,
My house survived Ike,
My pine trees survived Ike,
Having Jerry and Mom enccourage (force) me to leave,
Jerry stayed in Houston and he got power back very soon,
The temp was cool in Houston for all my friends there with no power,
Everytime I feel Juilan move,
I got to see my bff Kelly and her little boy Kaden,
Jerry didn't have to drive 10 hours to Tenn and found a cheap ticket and made it safely,
I have got to spend some great quality time with my wonderful friends in Cedar Hill,
I have a wonderful next door neighbor back in Spring that calls me with updates and has been watching over things for me,
The Henry's for housing Odis P and I,
Being here with power, a/c, food, groceries, etc,
I didn't have to make two trips.. and drive back for my shower tomorrow!!!
Finding a place to get my tire fixed for 10 dollars,
Being told at the register that my car wash is free,
My baby shower tomorrow!! I get to see all my peeps!!

God is Good All the time! and All the time God is Good!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

I just wanted to redeem myself on the latest picture I took. This was me yesterday on my once again eventful birthday. This was not my first birthday that the grocery stores were packed and gas stations were mad crazy and restaurants were empty. You better believe I went and had some dinner though. So my 28th birthday was great! I had a great day at school. I love all my new friends there and Jerry was great when I got home. Ok well I better go watch some more updates on Hurricane Ike. It's 10:30 and it's just now starting to get a little windy. It should be an eventful night. :) - LC

Baby Bump and Bedding

16, 20, and 24 weeks... and growing!
Well can you tell which picture shows Lacy on Friday after the second week of school with 4 year olds? Seriously I shouldn't have posted this because I am looking so bad but it is the last pic I'm taking with that same shirt. I have other shirts way cuter and there is no reason for the nonsense :). HA!

I just finished week two of Pre K and so far so good. I have to knock on wood because I have a really great class. I do have a couple little active boys but as a whole my class is fabulous.

Julian is doing well. He moves around a lot in the evening and at night. I think he must try to sleep during the madness of the day. Blood work I had done last week showed that I was anemic and since I have started the med I have felt a lot better. I had no idea at the time but now I realize that was probably the reason I had to sit down randomly through out the day feeling like I was fixing to faint. But evidently I should be ok now. Just one more thing to add to my "high risk" list. ERRRRRR!!!

I have my baby shower in Dallas in 15 days!! I'm just so excited that I get to go see all my people. I will get to see family and lots of friends and I can NOT wait. I sort of wish it could be a whole weekend thing because now that I know some people that are attending, I know that I will want to spend a lot of time with each of them. Can't Wait! After this trip to Dallas, that will be the end of my "traveling" for a while. Until Julian and I are ready to take a trip somewhere.

This is the bedding that my brother and sister-n-law bought for Julian. I can't wait for it all to arrive. His furniture is a very very light wood so it's different than the pic but I think it will still look great. It's called T is for Train. Of course I think this works out great since I am a teacher and Jerry is a conductor for the railroad. Now I am just looking forward to getting the room painted so that I can begin setting it all up and getting things on the wall.

Ok, well I hope everyone is well. TAKE CARE
